Policies

We look forward to welcoming you to the inn and South Haven. Our courteous and thoughtful staff are dedicated to making your stay memorable! In order to make our guest's stay as relaxing as possible, we are an adult only bed and breakfast.
Arrival and Departure

  • Check-in begins at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.  On arrival please ring the doorbell.  If an innkeeper isn’t available, a note with your name will be placed in the wooden file box to the left of the front door.  It includes directions to you room and other important information. Your key is your room.
  • If you arrive early, you may park in our lot any time after 11:00. You are welcome to use our back patios and enjoy the harbor view.  It is a perfect time to enjoy the beach or walk to town for lunch or shopping.
  • Check-out is 11am EST.

Reservations and Deposit

  • A 50% deposit required. Total payment required if reserving for only 1 night
  • Any balance will be charged to the card on file approximately 14 days before your arrival date. ****If booking for others you might have to settle the bill between yourselves. Let us know at least 16 days in advance if you plan use cash or a different credit card.
  • Confirmation of your reservation guarantees payment for your entire scheduled visit.
  • Advance notice is required if using a gift certificate or other promotion. Gift certificates can only be redeemed over the phone and are valid for a full year after purchase.
  • Rates are based per room, per night, for single or double occupancy. Rates vary depending on the room you choose and the date you arrive.
  • Only 2 persons per room, adults only.  If you want to include a child over the age of 14 as one of the 2 persons in your room, please call.
  • Two-night minimum stay is required on in-season weekends and three nights on most festival and holiday weekends.
  • We accept cash, Master Card, Visa or Discover.
  • Prices and terms are subject to change without notice.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • As small, independently owned business, cancellations affect us severely. Our cancellation policy is firm regardless of the reason for canceling. We are sorry but we cannot be responsible for unused rooms do to threat of bad weather, late or canceled airline flights, family emergencies, early departure or no shows. Vacation insurance from several online providers is available to protect you against unexpected events.
  • A $35.00 per room processing fee will be applied for all cancellations. No cancellations via fax or email. Cancellations by telephone only
  • Deposit will be returned if cancellation is made 15 days before scheduled arrival.
  • If you cancel within the 15 days you are responsible for your entire stay.
  • Late cancellation owes entire stay.
  • 30-day cancellation deadline for multiple bookings over 2 rooms, holidays and special events.
  • 120-day cancellation deadline for bookings of 6 rooms or more.

Restrictions

  • Jacuzzis may not be used after 10 pm or prior to 8:30 am. The noise could possibly wake other guests. There is a $500 fine if you ignore this rule.
  • The Carriage House Harbor is a smoke-free environment, and our no-smoking policy is strictly enforced. Smoking is not allowed on balconies or outdoor common areas. Violators will be charged a $300 cleaning fee and asked to leave.
  • Because this is a Romantic Destination, we do not accommodate children.
  • Sorry, no candles, incense, coffee makers, or cooking allowed in guest rooms.
