Southwest Shore Cruise
Road biking connects South Haven and Saugatuck. Enjoy the fruit belt and a vineyard with a tasting room during the first half of the ride. Blueberry farms and orchards with apples and peaches are along the route. You’ll probably be able to sample whatever produce is in season from a roadside farm stand. There are more hills on the first half of the route, heading north to Saugatuck, where a short ferry crossing is an option during the summer months. Flatter terrain closer to the lake will take you back to South Haven. Terrain: Flat to rolling, a few big rolls. The loop is a total of 49.3 miles. Skill level is intermediate. Best spring through fall. The trail received 3 out of 5 stars and a review from 2005 said the trails were in poor condition and poorly marked. Maps available at the Carriage House.

Saugtuck Ramble
Drive to 20 minutes north to Saugatuck, after enjoying this "great little art town", rent bikes and ride north to Holland, with a stop at a state park featuring dramatic dunes and Lake Michigan views. In Holland you can explore another bustling downtown - except on Sundays. The ride back to Saugatuck is more direct. Information at the inn.

Village of South Haven
You can ride or walk almost anywhere in this quaint town.

Fall Color Tour
